Allen Hatred - Lockdown

Lockdown was born as a music and visual project built around a collective condition of closure, suspension, and psychological pressure. The track uses rap as a direct language to give shape to thoughts, frustrations, and mental states generated by isolation. The music video expands this dimension, transforming the physical and mental block of lockdown into a more abstract, material, and perceptive visual experience.

The challenge was to build a visual project capable of representing the oppression and emotional instability of lockdown without relying on a purely descriptive narrative. It was necessary to bring together performance, painting, photography, editing, and visual effects into a coherent language, while maintaining a raw, personal, and credible tone.

I worked on the project’s creative direction, editing, digital artwork, and pictorial component, building a visual system in which image, music, and materiality interact with one another. Painting becomes both a physical and symbolic element: not a simple background, but an emotional trace of the project. Editing and visual effects amplify the sense of fragmentation, tension, and confinement, reflecting the mental atmosphere of the track. The result is a conceptual music video and an integrated visual identity in which rap, painting, and video create a direct narrative about emotional pressure, isolation, and the need for expression.
