Attitude Street Shop - Shooting
Street photography project developed for Attitude Street Shop, conceived as a spontaneous visual story about urban attitude, social connection, and style in the streets of Palermo.
The project documents a freely lived day, without staged poses or rigid planning, capturing an authentic image of community, presence, and street identity.
Attitude Street Shop is built around a clear idea: attitude is not a pose, but a real way of living, connecting with others, and occupying public space. Aggregation, joy, unity, love, and style as expressions of an uncontaminated, purely human attitude. The photographs were shot with a Canon EOS 1200D and an EFS 18-55mm lens, with minimal post-production to preserve the truth and spontaneity of the images.
The challenge was to represent streetwear without turning it into an artificial or overly staged campaign. The project needed to communicate style, but also spontaneity; urban identity, but also human warmth. It was important to avoid forced poses, prepared locations, or excessive post-production, preserving the natural flow of the day and the authenticity of the subjects.
I chose an instinctive and documentary approach, shooting freestyle through the streets of Palermo. The camera does not impose a scene; it follows what happens: relationships, gestures, presence, movement, and style details. Post-production was kept to a minimum in order to preserve the spontaneity of the shots and the credibility of the story. The result is a street photography project that does not simply promote clothing, but captures an attitude: a way of being together, living the street, and recognizing oneself through style, belonging, and authenticity.
