Double G - Testamento
Testamento is a creative direction and visual identity project developed to build a distinctive and cohesive visual world around the artist.
Through a visual language inspired by sacred imagery and rituality, the project translates the themes of the album into a structured system of content, where every compositional and visual element contributes to a precise and recognizable visual narrative.
The result is a solid and sophisticated visual identity, designed to strengthen the artist's positioning and transform the musical narrative into an iconic visual experience.
Testamento is an introspective project that explores the artist’s identity through personal, cultural, and territorial references. The album is rooted in an imaginary strongly connected to Palermo, its visual energy, and its spiritual and popular dimension. For this reason, the art direction needed to create a powerful narrative capable of connecting the artist’s individual path to a broader collective context.
The challenge was to build a visual identity capable of supporting the narrative depth of the album without reducing it to a simple music aesthetic. The project required a contemporary, recognizable, and culturally grounded language able to communicate vulnerability, strength, ritual, and transformation. The images needed to work both as record artwork and as an extended communication system, maintaining consistency across the cover, social content, and urban posters.
I developed an art direction based on the intersection of sacred imagery, ritual composition, chiaroscuro, and contemporary visual codes. Artificial intelligence was used during the exploratory phase to generate scenarios, atmospheres, and compositional references. These studies were then translated into a real photoshoot and a structured graphic system. The outdoor campaign, placed across the streets of Palermo during the period of the Santa Rosalia celebration, expanded the meaning of the project by connecting the artist’s identity to the symbolic dimension of the city. The result is a solemn and direct visual system that turns Testamento into an identity statement: personal, urban, and ritual.
